The evening will start with a Reception and a welcoming Cocktail/Mocktail, accompanied by hors d’oeuvres and live Oudh music. You will also have the opportunity to view and write down your bids for the exciting items (to include holiday homes and unique experiences) offered in our Silent Auction. There will also be a Raffle.
The Reception will be followed by a three-course seated Syrian dinner: a full mezze followed by hot dishes and a sweet baklava treat to finish. All our food for the evening is being prepared by Christine and Ahmad, originally from Aleppo, and now of the hugely popular Sidra restaurant in Teddington.
A bar accepting debit/credit cards will be available for the purchase of wine.
During the course of the evening, the famous artist Axel Scheffler (The Gruffalo) will draw live at his easel. You will have the opportunity to bid for these unique drawings during our Live Auction.
The author and member of Helping Refugees in Jordan Elizabeth Laird will also auction the dedication to her forthcoming novel, Song of the Dolphin Boy to be published by Macmillan Children’s Books in March 2018.
