Hello, this is a message for Clementine. A little while ago, Lou at Nosy Crow sent me an email from you requesting artwork for a charity auction. I contacted Lou immediately and told her I’d be happy to help you. Between Lou and Nia I was hoping to send you a pice of art or organise a print as I’m working on a lot of digital projects at the moment. I sat down today to sort out a ;little something for you and to my horror, I realised that I’ve completely missed the deadline – and the auction. I am so sorry; you must think I’m completely awful.
For some mad reason, I thought the auction was in July, so I was busy making artwork for a book and for some other requests – and unfortunately I lost my phone and internet for over a week during some heavy storms (I live in the middle of nowhere in France at the moment) . By the time I was able to check the dates, I realised I had completely missed the boat. Please accept my apologies, Clementine. I fully intended to send you something and I feel real awful about it. If you hold another auction or another such event, please do let me know and I’ll be only too happy to send you something. Good luck with everything. I used to work with refugees in London many years ago and I know how difficult and traumatising life is for these brave families.
With my best wishes, and deep apologies,
Jan Fearnley
Ps I also emailed Lou when I realised and she may contact you as well. But I wanted to message you directly.
